The Green Party is urging the government to keep climate as a key priority when when it comes to transport funding.
Twenty-four hours ago Transport Minister Michael Wood was talking up putting emissions reduction at the centre of the government's next three-yearly transport plan, with more money for cycleways and bus lanes.
By afternoon the priority had shifted to a focus on rebuilding roads and bridges damaged by the Cyclone.
Green Party transport spokesperson Julie Anne Genter says it would be a huge mistake for the government to deprioritise climate action.
She spoke to Corin Dann.
