Wellington company Wētā FX were back in the winners circle last week, winning the Oscar for Best Visual Effects for their work on Avatar: The Way of Water.
For company director Joe Letteri, it was a fifth Academy Award in the category, and the first since 2010 for work on the previous Avatar film.
Around 1700 people from Wētā FX worked on the film, and Letteri says it was an honour to represent the team in picking up the golden statue.
Joe Letteri is back in New Zealand after attending the awards.
