The head of Waka Kotahi's Road to Zero campaign says this year's Easter low road toll is proof road deaths can be reduced.
Road to Zero director Bryan Sherrit spoke to Corin Dann.
There is still no official number on the easter road toll but it is at least one.
Police have confirmed a man has died in hospital yesterday following a crash on the Southern Motorway, State Highway One, Manurewa just after 2pm on Good Friday.
The 68-year-old motorcyclist was taken to hospital in a critical condition, but sadly died.
