Dancing, high heels and a stripper pole - clearly not a usual day on Parliament's forecourt.
The Fired Up Stilettos group took their fight there on Sunday for better rights and protections for strippers.
Strippers are independent contractors and earlier this year nineteen were fired for refusing to hand over a bigger slice of their profits to the Calendar Girls night club where they worked in Wellington.
The group says New Zealand's contract law is out of date leaving them feeling unsafe and exploited.
Political reporter Giles Dexter was at the protest.
