Auckland singer songwriter Princess Chelsea has taken out the TAITE Music Prize - the top award at the TAITE Music Awards.
Princess Chelsea's album, 'Everything's Going to be Alright,' was described by the judges as 'hopeful and cathartic.'
Em Walker, also known as Theia and TE KAAHU, won Best Independent Debut Album for Te Kaahu O Rangi, an album of nine waiata sung in te reo Maori, paying tribute to her tupuna wahine.
