Midwives are celebrating a rare pay win with an interim equity offer getting signed off on Monday.
Almost two thousand hospital-based midwives will see their salary jump to match the pay of the nurses they supervise in maternity wards.
The midwives union says they were supportive of the nurse's interim pay increase in February, but were left behind with a gap of $11,000.
