Māngere residents want Auckland Council to fix their blocked drains now before they put in place a long term plan to rebuild for flood resilience.
On the night of the Auckland Anniversary flood, Te Ararata stream and stormwater drains overflowed into homes.
Last night, a community meeting was held, with Kainga Ora, the Council, and residents, to discuss the futureproofing of Mangere's infrastructure for extreme weather.
