Consumer NZ: buyers being overcharged for second-hand cars

Consumer NZ is warning buyers to be wary of dodgy car finance deals. Consumer NZ recieved a complaint from a Wellington man who signed up for a thirty-thousand-dollar Go Car Finance loan for a car worth only seven-thousand. They say the man has a bad credit score and desperately needed finance for a vehicle. His loan application was approved four days later. Investigative team leader Rebecca Styles says its an example of both the dealer and the finance company taking a customer for a ride. Corin Dann spoke to Rebecca Styles
