The ACT Party says it's wrong Oranga Tamariki staff are still on paid leave when the facility they worked in was shut down two years ago.
Te Oranga, a 10-bed care and protection house in Christchurch, was closed after a leaked video showed a boy being held in a headlock.
The Minister for Children Kelvin Davis has now confirmed, via written parliamentary question, that four staff remain suspended, and on paid leave.
ACT MP Karen Chhour, who grew up in state care, told RNZ political reporter Anneke Smith, it's wrong.
