Job cuts will still go ahead at Victoria University despite the government bailout announced yesterday.
$128 million has been allocated over two years to prop up the tertiary sector, alongside a review of the way institutions are funded.
But Victoria University's slice of the pie will only save a third of the proposed job cuts.
