Twitter owner Elon Musk has introduced sudden limits to the number of messages users of the site can see each day.
Those who pay for the service can view 10,000 tweets, but un-paying users are now limited to 1,000 or less a day.
Users came across the new rule by receiving unexplained notices saying they'd exceeded the rate limit.
