New data shows more Kiwis are looking to buy a house, but new property listings are down 20 percent across the country compared with last year.
The data, from realestate.co.nz, shows the national average asking price has remained stable.
But Central Otago and the Lakes District bucked the trend, hitting an all-time high in June.
