Retailers in the Coromandel town of Thames are still coming to terms with damage caused by five vehicles in a ramraid at their local shopping mall.
A vape store was one of the targets when the cars smashed through one end of Goldfields Shopping Centre in the early hours of Thursday morning and exited through the other.
Store owner Kevin Carroll has had some of his other Waikato businesses attacked by ramraiders, but thought his Thames shop was safe in the middle of a mall.
Carroll spoke to Kim Hill.
