Some Auckland bus drivers opted to strike on Monday morning causing headaches for commuters, with up to 700 trips cancelled.
Drivers employed by NZ Bus want more money to bring them in line with their counterparts in Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin.
The New Zealand Tramways and Public Transport Union is one of two unions representing the drivers.
