All Blacks captain Sam Cane says he regrets kicking out at a pitch invader after the fulltime whistle in Sunday's test win over Argentina in Mendoza.
Soon after landing in Auckland, Cane front-footed the incident explaining his original intent was to assist security in removing the fan from the field.
He said he lamented his decision when he realised the pitch invader was a teenager and later sought him out to apologise.
