Auckland Transport is planning to close seven pedestrian crossings over railway lines around the city, as it gets ready for more frequent trains with the City Rail Link.
But it's upset several communities, who use the crossings as a safe alternative to busy roads.
They say Auckland Transport is going ahead with the closures, no matter what it hears in consultation.
