The UK has made it into the huge trans-Pacific free trade treaty, but there's been no progress on allowing in China.
New Zealand hosted the seventh meeting of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership over the weekend.
And while much was made of what the 12th country will bring to the pact, members were reluctant to talk about who's in the waiting room: China.
