An extreme heatwave continues across Europe with no relief in sight, as another heatwave is forecast to arrive next week.
It is anticipated Sicily may break it's previous record of 48.8C - the highest temperature ever recorded in Europe.
Parts of the US, China, North Africa and Japan are also sweltering through record temperatures. Meanwhile, some scientists are trying to define a new geological time period to recognise the changes we've made to the planet.
