Interest in birds surged through COVID-19 lockdowns around the world as people found themselves stuck at home.
Using the Google search index, researchers recorded a surge of interest in bird feeding in 115 countries. But there's a downside - there's also evidence that increased bird feeding has negative impacts.
Professor Emeritus Darryl Jones, from Griffith's Centre for Planetary Health and Food Security in Queensland, Australia spoke to Corin Dann.
