A lifetime member of Black Power says gang leaders in Palmerston North are trying to keep the peace in the wake of a gang-related death on Sunday.
Police arrested three men with gang links in relation to possession of firearms and ammunition after a vehicle was stopped in Feilding on Monday night.
This as they investigate the fatal shooting at a Highbury property, which followed a violent brawl in Feilding on Friday.
Extra police have been sent to Manawatu as a result.
