The Principals' Federation has dismissed National's proposed ban on cellphones in schools, calling it unnecessary and unworkable.
National says it will ban cellphones in schools if it becomes the Government, saying they'll be off and away all day, in classrooms and on the playground.
National leader Christopher Luxon says the result will be a greater focus on learning.
