Pets are now welcome onboard Auckland buses after two successful trial runs.
Small domestic pets must be in carriers and larger dogs on leads and muzzled.
Auckland councillor Josephine Bartley, a dog-owner and frequent public transport user, says until now pet owners had to rely on cars for essential trips vets or groomers.
