In Friday's episode, National's Leader Christopher Luxon was eager to get cracking. Here's his omelette recipe.
Christopher Luxon's Cheese and Ham Omelette
4 eggs
Large handful of grated cheese
Large handful of ham, chopped
Salt and pepper
Olive oil
Preheat oven to 200C.
Beat eggs with a splash of water. Season with salt and pepper.
Heat oil in a small omelette pan (cast iron or stainless steel).
Pour in the egg mixture and cook until it is golden-brown underneath.
Place the pan in the oven and cook for a few minutes until golden-brown on top.
Remove from oven (use a tea towel or oven gloves), then sprinkle ham and cheese onto half the omelette.
Fold over other half and slide out of the pan onto a chopping board.
Cut in half and serve.
