It's Melbourne Cup day and it's the biggest day of the year for betting in New Zealand.
But there are no chances of a win for a local horse. None of New Zealand's contenders made it through, including Ladies Man of Taranaki, who missed out by one place.
It's been eight years since a New Zealand horse won the cup.
