National Party leader Christopher Luxon will be sworn in as New Zealand's 42nd Prime Minister on Monday.
The incoming Prime Minister says his government is committed to reducing tobacco use, despite plans to repeal smokefree legislation.
As part of its coalition agreement with New Zealand First, National has agreed to repeal amendments to the Smokefree Environments and Regulated Products Act.
Luxon has formed a government alongside ACT and New Zealand First, but it comes with a number of concessions when it comes to proposed tax cuts, as well as climate, treaty and health issues.
Luxon spoke to Corin Dann.
