A senior police officer says an Armed Offenders Squad commander on the day of the Christchurch terror attacks wasn't aware that extra specialist staff were in the city and could have helped.
The officer, who has name suppression, has given evidence to the inquest into the deaths of 51 people killed in the mosque shootings in March 2019.
