A Clutha River punt operator says locals were 'flabbergasted' to find a seal swimming 50 kilometres upstream from the coast Saturday morning.
Tom Jones, from Tuapeka Mouth, has seen strange things bobbing along the river before, but he says this was a once-in-a-lifetime sighting.
