A significant win for some of the country's top sportspeople, after the Employment Relations Authority ruled they have the right to engage in good-faith collective bargaining with High Performance Sport New Zealand.
The Athletes' Cooperative, which represents 60 rowers and cyclists, are pursuing better pay and treatment.
High Performance Sport, a government agency, said in response it is surprised and concerned by the ruling.
