A German tourist whose motorbike was stolen in a tiny Hawkes Bay settlement says he's shocked police decided not to press charges despite finding the vehicle at a nearby house.
The tourist who RNZ is not naming was staying in a bach at Nuhaka and says the thief stripped the vehicle and then rode up and down the road where the man and his teenage son were staying.
He says local police officers told him the house where the bike was found is linked to the Mongrel Mob.
