Scientists from a Christchurch-based flight company have been awarded funding to develop their high-altitude, solar-powered aircraft with NASA.
Technology and Space minister Judith Collins has announced twelve research teams will be given $75,000 as part of the Government's Catalyst Fund.
Dr Dan Price is chief scientist at Kea Aerospace.
Its research with NASA is aimed at improving monitoring of coastal water quality.
Price spoke to Ingrid Hipkiss.
