Wet weather lashes parts of the country

Heavy rain and thunderstorms were forecast last night and today in Auckland and the Bay of Plenty. Auckland received 25 milimetres of rain in just one hour overnight, and more is forecasted for today. The Bay of Plenty region and Rotorua are under a heavy rain warnings until later this evening.
