Port Marlborough on refloating Aratere

Refloating Aratere - the ferry that ran aground off Picton on Friday - took a massive team effort involving KiwiRail, Maritime New Zealand, Port Marlborough's marine team, the local Harbour Master and expert advice from around the world. The efforts were successful and the vessel was pulled away from the cliff face at Titoki Bay soon after 9pm on Saturday. Port Marlborough chief executive Rhys Welbourn was involved in the recovery.
