Update: heavy rain causes evacuations in Gisborne

Heavy rain on the East Coast, has caused evacuations in Te Karaka 30-kilometres north-west of Gisborne, a state of emergency in Haumoana in Hastings and also in Wairoa township there have been evacuations too. In addition in Gisborne locals have learned this morning the bodies of the three fishermen missing off the coast have been found washed up on the shore in Mahia. Gisborne Mayor Rehette Stoltz spoke to Ingrid Hipikiss.
