Update: State of Emegercy in Haumoana, Hastings

In Hastings a state of emergency has been declared in Haumoana because of costal inundation. Police are knocking on doors asking affected residences to evacuate. Hawkes Bay Civil defence is calling for peple to be prepared to leave their homes. Some people have already been taken to Haumoana School where an evacuation centre was opened at 8pm last night.
