Survivors of abuse in care fear government policies

Survivors of abuse in care fear the Government's policies will condemn another generation of children to abuse. The 2500-page Royal Commission of Inquiry into Abuse in Care report was handed over to Governor-General, Dame Cindy Kiro, this week and will be made public next month. But before even receiving the report, the Government has embarked on controversial policies like youth boot camps, charter schools and the repeal of Section 7AA of the Oranga Tamariki Act.
