A report on food waste has found a lot of waste happens long before food gets to consumers. Globally, around 40 per cent of food is wasted and the Prime Minister's Chief Science Adviser Juliet Gerard - whose office wrote the new report - says there's no evidence Aotearoa is doing any better.
