Assoc Health Minister considers allowing oral nicotine products

Public health experts are alarmed the Associate Health Minister has disregarded Ministry of Health advice about oral nicotine products, and wants to allow the sale of snus and nicotine pouches. An article written by University of Otago researchers says Casey Costello has adopted similar arguments for the products made by the tobacco industry, and ignored health advice on oral nicotine products. Professor Janet Hoek spoke to Charlotte Cook.
