Passenger alerts crew after engine catches fire on Air New Zealand flight

A passenger on the Air New Zealand flight that issued a mayday call while landing in Wellington on Sunday said they were seated near the engine and saw the flames. Mary Longmore, who was travelling with her 17-year-old daughter Eva, says they were the ones who alerted the crew to the fire. Longmore spoke to Ingrid Hipkiss.
