More students being stood down for assault

Schools are blaming the pandemic for a sharp jump in violence among children. Stand-downs, suspensions and expulsions for assaults on other students rose nationally last year and doubled in some regions. The figures are not only higher than in 2022, they are higher than in 2019, before Covid. Education correspondent John Gerritsen reports.
