Crucial climate change conference starts today

This evening one of the most crucial climate change meetings begins in the Danish capital, Copenhagen. Over the next fortnight the conference will attempt to find a successor to the Kyoto Protocol. However, it's widely accepted that a ratifiable treaty that aims to curb climate change will not emerge from the conference.
