Assyrian community refusing to back down in Gallipoli row

The Assyrian community in Australia is refusing to apologise for enmeshing New Zealand in a diplomatic dispute between Australia and Turkey after a momument dedicated to the Assyrian victims of genocide was erected in Sydney. The Gallipoli survey was to identify the location of human remains found during road widening.
