Civil Defence says a tsunami in New Zealand is possible

The United States Geological Survey says the quake struck in the Kermadec Islands region. The quake was centred 211 kilometres east of Raoul Island at a depth of 48 kilometres. Joining us is Victor Sardina, a geophysist at the Pacific tsunami warning centre in Hawaii.
