Auckland ratepayers to cover $100m shortfall in NZTA funding

Auckland ratepayers are having to chip in $100 million to cover a temporary funding shortfall at the government's Transport Agency. It is the first time a local body has stepped up to keep the flow of new transport projects going... and one city politician says it is time the government went the extra mile for Auckland.
