The Christchurch East MP, Leanne Dalziel, has confirmed she's had to pick up some of Rino Tirikatene's Christchurch work, but says it's because her Labour colleague's so busy; An Eastern Bay of Plenty tribe that rejected a Crown settlement in the nineties - says it's now just weeks away from lining up its new Treaty claim for land confiscated by colonial forces; The Bay of Plenty Regional Council says fears voiced by some in the community before three Maori seats were established, proved to be unfounded; The Nelson-Marlborough District Health Board says evidence shows if the Maori workforce is left unchanged, chronic conditions such as heart disease and diabetes will become more prevalent.
