Fresh political turmoil in Pakistan

Pakistan has been thrown into a crisis after its Supreme Court effectively sacked the Prime Minister Yousef Raza Gilani. The Court ruled Mr Gilani is disqualified from holding office, because he was convicted of contempt of court two months ago for refusing to re-open corruption cases against the president Asif Ali Zardari.
