1.00 Fat Freddys Drop Joe Lindsay Co- Host's the first hour
In 2003, Fat Freddy’s Drop embarked on an auspicious debut European tour.
Twenty years later, rare and glorious handycam footage of the tour is the base for MARUADERS, a slow-burn web series like no other. MARAUDERS premieres on Monday 30 October, on rnz.co.nz/marauders

Alison Mosshart became a recognisable voice in modern rock n roll, as captivating lead singer for The Dead Weather. In 2001 she formed The Kills with English guitarist Jamie Hince. The two have been a staple in alternative music circles for 22 years. So it’s not surprising loyal fans were eager to hear more new music.
Alison Mosshart speaks to Maggie Tweedie about the American English rock duo and the secret sauce to The Kills musical longevity.

Our guest picking the songs this week is Matthew Hyde - lead singer of NZ metal band Beastwars who have just released their 5th album Tyranny of Distance
Matthew has had a colourful life singing in bands both here and internationally whilst working as a chef .
But these days, after a diagnosis of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2017, he lives a much less rock and roll life, but still making music.
Beastwars 5th studio album - Tyranny of Distance – is a covers album featuring metal versions of songs by Marlon Williams, Superette, Nadia Reid, Julia Deans and more great NZ artists.
