1.20 Folk singer Nadia Reid on her move to the UK: ‘In New Zealand I felt ceilinged-in’
In 2023, after the pandemic had stamped out her budding international career, a pregnant Nadia Reid moved to the UK with her partner and their toddler.
On her new album Enter Now Brightness, the award-winning folk singer leaves “deep sadness” in the dust and sets her sights on joy.
She tells Charlotte Ryan how she's been softened by motherhood, why she refuses to think about heavy subjects and why she left Aotearoa.

2.15 Led Zeppelin in their own words: first authorised doco hits NZ screens
Led Zeppelin is one of the biggest rock bands of all time but for decades its three surviving members have been notoriously media-shy… until now.
In Becoming Led Zeppelin - the first ever band-authorised documentary - Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones finally open up about their early lives and rise to mega-stardom in the late ‘60s.
Director Bernard MacMahon and co-writer/producer Allison McGourty tell Charlotte Ryan they hope Becoming Led Zeppelin will inspire young people to chase their own big dreams.
Becoming Led Zeppelin is in New Zealand cinemas now.

4pm The Mixtape: Dub multi-instrumentalist Pachyman
Our guest this week is Pachyman, an LA-based, Puerto Rican DJ and multi-instrumentalist producer.
On his RNZ Mixtape, Pachyman pays tribute to legends like King Tubby, Scientist, and Lee "Scratch" Perry, who have influenced his instrumental dub music with heavy basslines, echoing delays, and vintage production techniques.
Pachyman’s music has been described as sun-kissed and he’s here in New Zealand for the summer, celebrating his latest album Switched On with a series of shows:
27 February - Whammy Bar, Auckland
28 February - Meow, Wellington
1 March - Port Noise, Lyttelton
2 March - Hamilton Garden Arts Festival, Hamilton
If you want to support the recovery after the wildfires in LA you can buy the charity compilation on bandcamp. The compilation has 88 tunes for a good cause, and Pachyman’s song is ‘Playita’.
