Ana Chaya Scotney is of Jewish, Ngāti Tāwhaki, Ngāi Tūhoe and Pakeha Descent. She works as an actress and artist based in Te Whanganui a tara and has starred in Educators, Millie Lies Low, the Aotearoa hit film Cousins and most recently Alice Englert’s directorial debut Bad Behaviour.
In 2021 Scotney released music under the project Kotiro, an experimental collaboration between Ana and her friend Thomas Arbor which melded together a patchwork of pop, folk and sound design.
