After creating and collaborating musically for many years, award winning songwriter, producer and teacher, AJA (Ngāti Raukawa, Āti Awa ki Whakarongotai, Ngāti Toa Rangatira, Ngāti Porou), has just released a long-awaited, much anticipated album Kāwai.
Her waiata ‘Te Iho’, written with Byllie-Jean and Chris Wethey, took home the Maioha Silver Scroll Award, and just recently she performed at the APRA Silver Scroll Awards, reimagining Anna Coddington’s song Kātuarehe.
