John Metcalfe is a New Zealander with an impressive career as a musician, composer and arranger in the United Kingdom.
John Metcalfe has worked with the likes of Chrissie Hynde of the Pretenders, Simple Minds, The Durutti Column, Tuxedomoon, Blur, Morrissey, George Michael and even Tom Jones.
In the 1980s he helped to launch the ground-breaking Factory Classics record label alongside Factory boss Tony Wilson.
He arranged the string sections on Peter Gabriel's 'Scratch My Back' project, as well as working on his own music - both solo and with a quartet.
